The Central Otago Regional Choir (CORC) continues to enrich the cultural landscape of Otago through its dedication to choral music. Guided by their mission—"To practice and perform choral music of outstanding merit, to the highest possible standard, for the people of Central Otago, for the mutual enjoyment and cultural enrichment of both Choir and audience"—CORC delivers high-quality performances that bring communities together through music.
A key feature of the choir’s annual calendar is their autumn and spring concert series, each consisting of three public performances. These events allow audiences to experience the beauty of choral music while showcasing the skill and dedication of CORC’s members. By fostering collaboration with vocalists and instrumentalists from across the region, CORC supports the wider arts community and enhances the musical offering in Central Otago.
This weekend, CORC wraps up the 2024 year with their Christmas concert series, The Very Best Time of the Year. Featuring holiday classics and contemporary favourites, this festive programme offers a joyful celebration of the season. The concert also showcases three talented guest artists:
Isobel Topham (Soprano)
Ayla Biner-McGrath (Clarinet)
Cameron Monteath (Piano)
