Gillian joined the Central Lakes Trust team in February 2024, bringing over 24 years of experience in the volunteer and community sector across initiatives in both the UK and New Zealand.
With over two decades immersed in the volunteer and community sectors in both hemispheres, Gillian brings a wealth of experience supporting grassroots efforts.
Prior to CLT, Gillian spent 12 years at Volunteer South as a Community Connector and Regional Lead. In this wide-ranging role, she was part of a region-wide team supporting all aspects of volunteering across the Central Lakes, Dunedin, and Invercargill regions.
Gillian most enjoys interacting with the passionate people dedicating their time and energy to causes and communities that matter to them. Gillian loves striving to support individuals and organisations as they work to achieve their visions and carry out meaningful initiatives within their communities. As a mum of a passionate dancer, she a founding trustee of the Tititea Performing Arts Trust that encourages a love of performing arts in young people.
When she's not at work, you can find Gillian walking her dog Luna along the lake. She also enjoys unwinding by losing herself in a good movie and spending quality time with her two children.
